Tarot Guide
Project Overview
Tarot Tutor is an interactive learning tool that reimagines how beginners engage with tarot through tangible interaction. Rather than relying on guidebooks or mobile apps, the project uses RFID-enabled tarot cards and a custom reading mat to recognize physical cards and provide contextual interpretations on an integrated display. By combining embedded electronics with a familiar ritual, Tarot Tutor transforms tarot from a static reference into an engaging, hands-on learning experience.
The project explores how physical interfaces can make complex information more approachable by blending storytelling, education, and play. Users can perform different types of readings, receive personalized card interpretations, and gradually build an understanding of tarot symbolism through interaction rather than memorization. Through the design of both the hardware and software, Tarot Tutor investigates how tangible computing can create richer educational experiences while preserving the tactile qualities that make tarot meaningful.
